We are actively seeking a Quality Systems Lead to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love!

This role’s primary responsibility will be to maintain expectations of food safety and quality management systems across the Compana network while collaborating closely with internal manufacturing facilities, suppliers, co-packers, regulatory, product development, procurement, and supply chain functions for both domestic and international business.

As our Quality Systems Lead, you’ll make an impact by:
  • Managing vendor documentation, onboarding, and maintenance for the Compana vendor management program utilizing TraceGains Software.
  • Managing vendor non-conformance and corrective actions program for all incoming ingredients, packaging, and externally manufactured items.
  • Leading efforts to guarantee adherence to Compana’s vendor pre-shipment sample and testing program to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Updating and maintain documentation control for the quality management system policies and procedures.
  • Conducting internal audits (Food Safety, Current Good Manufacturing Practices [cGMP’s], Sanitation, etc.)
  • Assisting with International Product Registrations
What you need to succeed:
  • Effectively communicate in English, in both verbal and written forms
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred: science based (food science, nutrition, microbiology, or similar).
  • 3 years of work-related experience in food and/or quality industry experience.
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food safety (FSMA, FDA, USDA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Global Food Safety Certification and/or ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of TraceGains Software preferred.
