We are actively seeking a Production Supervisor to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love!
As our Production Supervisor, you’ll make an impact by:
- Ensuring the shift runs according to documented standards, overseeing end-of-shift cleaning and changeover protocols to facilitate smooth shift transitions.
- Maintaining production equipment in good working order. Ensuring employees are properly trained in the operation of equipment to prevent injury, damage to equipment, and unnecessary downtime. Immediately notifying Production Manager and/or maintenance staff if equipment requires repair.
- Ensuring work center coaches and employees understand the Continuous Improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques employed by the department. Encouraging all employees to strive for daily improvement.
- Communicating performance feedback to the team as well as Production Manager and Human Resources.
- Providing for the proper onboarding and training of new employees (regular and temporary), ensuring every person receives the required orientation and safety/quality training prior to working.
- Encouraging and supporting work center coaches as they train and motivate team members as well as ensuring the productivity, development, engagement, and retention of production employees.
- Leading, developing and mentoring production employees.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Three years of manufacturing/production/warehouse experience, including experience supervising others.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications and team building.
- Ability to work with hay and hay-based products.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, twist, bend and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to certify and operate a forklift.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, time clock system and overall computer programs and use.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial and production data.
- To better ensure the operational performance and safety of the business and the individual, the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with E-21 software
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Experience, education and/or training in food safety and sanitation

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are: 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am – 4:15 pm, Fridays 5:30am-2pm when business necessitates; 2nd shift Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm-2am, Fridays 3:30pm-10pm. Consistent and regular attendance is required as an essential job function.
Work Environment
Due to the nature of the work, employee must be able to stand for long hours at a time, withstand hot/cold temperatures. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Physical Demands
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
