We are actively seeking a Batch Operator to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love!
As our Batch Operator you’ll make an impact by:
- Ensuring mixing, grinding, and batching operations run efficiently.
- Adding proper ingredients to mixer, grinder, or batcher according to formulation.
- Measuring, weigh, and blend raw materials according to established batch records.
- Following lab instructions adjusting ingredients to bring a batch into specification.
- Sampling products and take it to the laboratory for testing.
- Measuring and gauging products to determine the weight produced.
- Coordinating material flow and storage to proper bins.
- Setting up equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspecting mix during the process, assuring proper quality.
- Maintaining mixing, grinding, and batching equipment for proper operation.
- Maintaining accurate production records and drug inventory.
- Ensuring allocated batches are completed to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Thoroughly, cleaning and sanitizing work area and equipment to reduce risk of product contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Identifying and organizing all incoming raw materials and storage, maintaining a first-in, first-out rotation.
What you need to succeed:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Must be forklift certified and able to show proficiency on a Stand-up RC forklift.
- Understanding of conversions such as volume to mass (i.e. gallons to pounds).
- Strong math skills with ability to proficiently calculate batch requirements and tolerances.
- Able to read and interpret documents, follow procedures, document information, and communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Strong attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills to meet productivity standards.
- Willingness to maintain a safe and ethical work environment, and work as a team member.
- Strong reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to follow product formula instructions and properly blend ingredients.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication and active listening skills.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodology.
- To better ensure for the operational performance and safety of the business and the individual, the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English is required.
- 1-2 years of prior mixing, grinding or batching experience preferred.
